Culture eats strategy for lunch every day of the week. It’s one of several observations I made on company culture in a conversation I had with David Daniel, founder of Fully Integrated Leadership. David and I cover a wide range of topics, beginning with the current social and political climate in our country and world, including Black Lives Matter. We then transition into a discussion of what organizational development is, what organizational culture is, and why they should matter to leaders. We talk about why culture is so often overlooked by leaders and why it can be a competitive advantage to stay focused on it within your team and organization.
David, who hosts this conversation as one of a series of such conversations, coaches tri-athletes and business leaders. He came to this work much as I did, through self-learning, searching for and finding answers to who he is and how he can best serve in a VUCA – volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous – world. Enjoy!
